The Regional Plan of Action on Ending Violence Against Children (RPA-EVAC) is ASEAN's 10-year roadmap for tackling violence against children. Before it's finalised, governments and organisations across the region are consulting young people to make sure their voices are part of it. Singapore was one of those countries.
Singapore Children's Society organised a national consultation on 19 April 2025 at RoundBox @ Singapore Children's Society. From there, three delegates, Paige, Azizi, and Louis, were selected by their peers to carry Singapore youth's voices to the Regional Children's Consultation in Jakarta from 13–15 May 2025.
On the final day, delegates were invited to present directly to the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR)— an intergovernmental body that oversees human rights across ASEAN member states. They raised issues that matter most to young people today: climate change, migration, violence against children, and online safety.
