What’s the survey about?
We want to hear from youths aged 13–18 in Singapore about your experiences with online gaming— What’s fun? What’s frustrating? What do you think could be better?
You’ll also be asked about your rights online! Some of them include:
Be treated fairly – No bullying or discrimination (Article 2)
Get guidance – Adults should help you stay safe online (Article 5)
Have your say – Your views should be heard (Article 12)
Express yourself – Freely share your thoughts, respectfully (Article 13)
Stay safe and private – Your info and safety matter (Articles 16 & 19)
Play and connect – You have the right to play and make friends, even online! (Articles 31 & 15)
There are no perfect answers, just be honest!
⏱ The survey takes about 10–15 minutes.
Your responses will help shape a report for two Singapore youth delegates who will represent your voices at an exciting regional event: the Regional Children’s Meeting (RCM) 2025.
What’s the RCM trip to Bangkok?
Two youths will be selected to attend the RCM 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand, from 26 to 28 August 2025! It is a yearly meeting where young people across Asia share their views and ideas about children’s rights. It’s organised by Child Rights Coalition Asia (CRC Asia), a regional network of child rights organisations.
If selected, you’ll get to:
🌏 Meet other youth from across Asia and exchange cultures
💬 Share your views on online gaming and rights
🛡️ Discuss how to make digital spaces safer and more inclusive
✍️ Help draft recommendations for governments, tech companies and other decision-makers
All expenses will be covered — including flights, meals, and accommodation. A staff member from Singapore Children’s Society will travel with you.
Can I just do the survey and not go for the trip?
Yes! The survey is open to everyone. Survey responses are anonymous. However, if you’d like to be considered for the trip, you must:
Complete the survey
Indicate your interest at the end of the survey
Set aside time to join a group interview on 2 August (Saturday), from 6.00 - 7.00pm.
If you choose to share your name and contact details to be considered for the trip, we’ll only use that information to contact you about the RCM.

How will the delegates be chosen?
We’re looking for youth who:
Are curious about or care about children’s rights
Have experience with online gaming— especially using in-game chat, or are part of gaming communities
Are open to listening, learning, and sharing
Can commit to pre-trip prep and post-trip sharing (like reflections or sharing with your peers)
Have a valid passport with at least 6 months’ validity at the time of travel
If you’re shortlisted, our team will turn your interview responses into an infographic poster — but don’t worry, it will be kept completely anonymous (no names, photos, or personal information will be shown).
We’re doing this so that the voting is based on the ideas and content, not popularity. This helps keep the process fair and focused on your voice.
These posters will be shared on our Singapore Children’s Forum WhatsApp Channel and Instagram Story. The community will vote for the posters they feel best represent youth voices.
🏆 The top 2 with the most votes will be selected to represent Singapore at RCM 2025 in Bangkok!
What happens if I get selected?
You’ll be contacted via text in the Week of 11 August.
If selected:
We’ll ask your parent or guardian for permission before you join the trip and verify the validity of your passport for travel. There'll also be a few forms you and your parent/guardian have to sign.
A WhatsApp group will be created with you, the other youth delegate, your adult mentor, and staff from Singapore Children’s Society to help coordinate everything related to the trip.
We'll send you a letter to apply for a Leave of Absence from school for the RCM.
You’ll need to attend prep sessions before the trip and a wrap-up session after. After the trip, you'll also prepare sharing sessions to talk about your experience— this could be at your school, youth centre, with community groups, or even with adults.
Lastly, you’ll write a short reflection about your experience. This will be featured in Singapore Children's Society's Sunbeam Newsletter and on the Singapore Children’s Forum website.
To have a better idea of what to expect from the trip, you can also take a look at the experience of past delegates:
