The internet has opened up incredible opportunities for young people— but it has also created new spaces where violence against children can happen. From cyberbullying and harassment to sexual exploitation and harmful content, the digital world presents risks that governments and organisations are still catching up with.

Dr Najat Maalla M'jid is the United Nations Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence Against Children (SRSG-VAC)— a role dedicated to pushing governments worldwide to do more to protect children from violence in all its forms. As part of her mandate, she regularly holds regional dialogues with young people to hear directly about their experiences and ensure their voices shape global policy.

Anders, Adnan, and Daryl were part of one of these dialogues, joining youth from across the region to share their thoughts on violence against children in the digital world— what they've seen, what they've experienced, and what they think needs to change.
