In 2025, Singapore Children's Society launched a study to explore youth perspectives of Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OCSEA) in Singapore. 28 youth from across the nation participated in our focus group discussions.

As a follow-up, we've been reaching out to stakeholders like the Ministry of Digital Development and Information and TikTok to share key findings from the study.

After our initial meeting with TikTok, they asked us which helplines young people would actually find useful to have in their app. So we went straight to the source: we ran an online survey from 26 March to 9 April to hear directly from young people about what helplines and safety features they'd want to see on platforms like TikTok.

Here's what youth told us!
